Ludvig Löfgren is one of Kosta Boda's new and bold talents. He creates table ware and decorative items with heaps of attitude. He started working at Kosta Boda in 2007. Inspite of his short tenure, he has designed many things that can be identified as Ludvig's creations. Without removing the rebellious feel, he has managed to design a range of minimalist and functional bowl range Dot that was launched for Christmas. The idea is that you should not need to hide these bowls when the festive season is over. To produce this range in only six months is nothing short of a miracle. The production development time was extremely short, but thanks to his solid experience in the world of glass the project succeeded anyway.
He trained at both art- and painting schools before he became a student at Orrefors School of Glass. He continued his education at Pilchuck Glass School in the USA. Upon returning to Sweden, he commenced his studies at the College of Arts and Design in Stockholm. He majored in glass and ceramics. During his time as a student he won a number of scholarships, and inspite of his young age he is represented at Statens Konstråd (The state's arts council) since 2001.
