Colour, form and humour make Olle Brozén's creations irresistible. He has a masters degree from the College of Art, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and trained at glass schools in the USA. In addition he has worked as a glass blower in Japan. It is safe to say that his collections are based on inspiration from all corners of the world. The play with colour is always present. You can clearly see this playfulness everywhere from the series September, which was clearly inspired by Japanese wood art, to the vehicles in the series Roundtrip.
Many of the coloured effects are obtained by using different layer of colour glass to give depth to the pattern. The pattern is cut out of the core of glass. The core is then filled with coloured glass. On top of the core and the coloured glass another layer of glass is added. In this way the pattern is buried deep inside the finished product.
