They are not opposed to each other, but rather form an ongoing dialogue between two sides of the same existence.Sand casting is a technique that has become strongly associated with Bertil Vallien\u0027s art. The raw and poetic expression differs from the perfection of traditionally cut crystal glass and gives each sculpture a depth and an enigmatic character. In Janus, the transparency of the glass, the enclosed face and the natural shades of the material interact in a way that changes depending on the light and viewing angle.Janus Mini is produced in Kosta in a limited edition of only 100 pieces and is presented on a powerful granite base.
