Gerard Basset

Gerard Francis Claude Basset was born in 1957 in the French industrial city of St Étienne. When Gerard tragically died of Cancer at the age of 61, he was the only person in the world to hold the combined titles: Champion of wine, Master sommelier, MBA in wine and the world's best sommelier.
