Kosta Huset Blå Stor is a characteristic art glass from Kosta Boda, designed by the well-known Swedish glass artist Bertil Vallién. The Kosta Huset series is inspired by the classic houses in the glass kingdom and clearly carries Vallién's personal design language - a combination of simple architecture and poetic expression.

The deep blue color gives the object a strong visual presence, while the transparency of the glass captures and reflects light in a vibrant way. The shape is stylized but clearly recognizable as a house – a symbol of security, home and belonging.

Each piece is made in the glassworks in Kosta, where Kosta Boda has a long tradition of Swedish art glass. This makes each object unique with small variations that arise in the crafting process.

The larger format gives the sculpture a clear presence and makes it equally well suited as a design object in the home as a collector's item for art glass.
