{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"Product
Janus Infinitum LTD 30ex
Janus Infinitum Limited Edition – Bertil Vallien, Kosta BodaJanus Infinitum is an exclusive artwork by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, created in a strictly limited edition of only 30 pieces. The work combines painting, glass and reflection in a powerful composition where Vallien's characteristic design language and fascination with humans take center stage. The artwork consists of a hand-painted painting with the Janus head as the central motif, together with a handmade glass sculpture placed in front of the motif. Behind the Janus head is a mirror, which adds another dimension to the work. The reflection creates a fascinating visual depth and changes the experience depending on the light, surroundings and the position of the viewer. The three-dimensional interplay between the painted surface, the mirror and the glass sculpture means that Janus Infinitum is experienced differently from different angles. The transparency and optical properties of the glass enhance the sense of depth and give the artwork a presence that is difficult to fully capture in a picture. Each piece is handmade and individually crafted. Both the painted parts and the glass sculpture are made by hand, which means that variations in color, shape, structure and details naturally occur. No two pieces are exactly alike – the variations are part of the artisanal character of the artwork and give each Janus Infinitum its individual expression.Janus is a motif that fits well into Bertil Vallien's artistic universe, where man, time, identity and the different sides of existence recur. The Roman god Janus is associated with two faces and a gaze in different directions – towards what has been and what awaits. In Janus Infinitum this feeling is reinforced by the mirror, the glass and the different perspectives in the work. With an edition of only 30 copies, Janus Infinitum is an exclusive collector's item for those who appreciate Bertil Vallien's artistry, Swedish art glass and unique handmade works of art.Janus Infinitum – a meeting between painting, reflection and sculpture.
