In 1889, the glassworks was started in Bergdala and the most famous product that has been manufactured there, and which is still manufactured, is probably the Blue Edge series. No one knows for sure how old it is, but everything indicates that it has been manufactured there for as long as
the mill has existed. Roger Johansson took over Bergdalahyttan in 2014. Roger has had a burning interest in glass since his youth and has been active in the glass industry all his life. From 1992, Roger ran "Rogers glassliperi" until the takeover of Bergdalahyttan 2014. My vision is to preserve a unique craft tradition and preserve our unique working environment in Bergdala.
